VIENNA, Aug. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Harman Kardon launched their Citation range of multiroom and multi-channel speakers at IFA, Berlin. All products are voice activated, featuring a Google Assistant integration developed with StreamSDK software from StreamUnlimited.
Following many project collaborations across the Harman International brand portfolio, StreamUnlimited are proud to announce the successful integration of Chromecast built-in and the Google Assistant into the Harman Kardon Citation product range. The range, which includes Citation ONE, 100, 300, 500, Tower, Adapt, Soundbar, surround speakers and Subwoofer products, combines award winning design, premium quality sound with the Chromecast built-in service portfolio and Google Assistant voice operation. The Harman Kardon Citation range can be used in multiroom as well as multichannel audio applications.
"I am pleased with the cooperation between StreamUnlimited and Harman Kardon. This was a major project delivering nine different products in a rather short period of time. The StreamSDK has helped us to achieve a smooth implementation," said Lou Schreurs, Vice President of Connected Home at Harman International.
"We have enjoyed a close working relationship with the Harman brand portfolio for many years and this latest collaboration has been a very exciting project to be a part of," said Frits Wittgrefe, CEO at StreamUnlimited. "The drive by Harman to innovate in the audio and home theatre sectors with the Citation range has enabled our engineering team to contribute to products that truly raise the bar in terms of performance, style and technical innovation. We are delighted to continue this partnership as the leading system integrator for Google Assistant and Chromecast built-in."
StreamSDK is a uniquely flexible, modular software solution that transports any streaming audio functionality to multiple consumer electronics devices. Alongside Chromecast built-in and the Google Assistant, features include Apple AirPlay 2, Amazon Voice Services, Spotify Connect, a vast range of music and Internet radio services, support for high resolution audio, a proprietary multiroom distribution protocol and customizable Android and iOS applications. StreamSDK is portable to various classes of silicon and compliments perfectly the StreamVienna ready-to-use hardware module family, varying from the low-cost Stream1832 to the premium Stream810.
