Stream Data Centers Announces Sale of Richardson, Texas Data Center to Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT

RICHARDSON, Texas, July 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Stream Data Centers announced the sale of its private data center located in the Dallas suburb of Richardson, Texas, to Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT. The 20,000-square-foot data center is a single-story, structurally-enhanced building containing 10,000 square feet of 36-inch raised-floor data center space. The data center facility includes dual feed power from separate substations, 1.68 megawatts of critical load and a 2N electrical / N+1 mechanical configuration.  

Stream developed the building in 2010 and completed construction and commissioning on the data center facility in October 2010. A long-term lease with a major national healthcare organization was executed in January 2011.

Stream chose Richardson as the site for its private data center because of its robust power and fiber infrastructure. Richardson's proven infrastructure has attracted major data center operations and critical facilities for companies such as Cisco Systems, Bank of America, Capital One, AT&T, Verizon, Texas Instruments and Fujitsu.
