Cooks, Food Bloggers and Strawberry Lovers Invited to Enter the California Strawberry "Everyday Superfruit" Recipe Contest

Winner Receives $250 Amazon Gift Card

WATSONVILLE, Calif., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- To celebrate the health benefits of strawberries, the California Strawberry Commission today announced the Strawberry "Everyday Superfruit" Recipe Contest. The contest runs through August and the winner receives a $250 Amazon Gift Card.

All food enthusiasts and cooks are invited to submit an original recipe that incorporates frozen strawberries. The winning recipe will be selected on the basis of taste, appearance, ease of preparation, and how well it fits with the theme "Everyday Superfruit."

To enter, contestants must submit an original recipe online that uses frozen strawberries (the dish doesn't have to be frozen). Additionally, a photo of the dish with the exact recipe name must be uploaded to the California Strawberries Facebook page at www.facebook.com/castrawberries.

Rules can be reviewed and entries submitted online at the California Strawberry Commission website at http://tinyurl.com/2d3pnlj. The deadline is August 31st at 5:00 p.m. PDT.
