ALBANY, N.Y., and EATONTOWN, N.J., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- StratoComm Corporation (STCO) CEO, Roger D. Shearer, has appointed Robert W. Phillips to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Phillips will have full administrative responsibility for the company's day-to-day operations.

Mr. Shearer continued, "Mr. Phillips' assumption of his expanded responsibilities will enable me to focus my full attention to sustained market development and revenue generation, which has previously not been possible. To fully separate myself from all administrative day-to-day responsibilities I have tendered my resignation as CEO of StratoComm Corporation effective September 8, 2010. I will retain the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. A newly expanded Board will be seated by October 1, 2010 and will serve until the first shareholder meeting which it will schedule to occur no later than April 2011."
