SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP), a leader in performance improvement for post-acute care providers, has upgraded its full product suite to help home health agencies get ready for the upcoming ICD-10 implementation. Starting on October 1st, the company's market leading SHP for Agencies product will be prepared to accept ICD-10 coded OASIS assessments. SHP will help ensure that accurate assessments are submitted to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as the industry goes through the transition process to ICD-10.
SHP has also further strengthened its OASIS scrubbing product for home health agencies. In addition to cross-walking its existing library of ICD-9 alerts to ICD-10, SHP has added over 120 new coding alerts specific to ICD-10 to help agencies catch documentation errors and avoid leaving reimbursement revenue on the table.
"Our job is to help home health agencies and hospices do their job, which is to provide the best possible care to their patients. By configuring our product in the new ICD-10 coding environment, we hope that our customers can continue to deliver the best clinical outcomes and get properly reimbursed for their hard work," said Rob Paulsson, SHP President.
