On August 4, 2014, DIRECTV reported that it has entered into an agreement with ESPN to provide the SEC Network when it launches on August 14, 2014. The Company stated that first college football game will air on the new network on August 28, 2014 featuring #20 Texas A&M vs. #9 South Carolina. Brands) announced the launch of its annual World Hunger Relief effort with the "Pass The Red Cup" challenge featuring multi-Grammy Award winner and international superstar Christina Aguilera. Yum! Brands began World Hunger Relief initiative in 2007 in an effort to raise awareness, volunteerism and funds for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and other hunger relief agencies. This year's "Pass The Red Cup" challenge is also designed to drive awareness and inspire donations. Union Pacific Corporation Research Reports
On August 6, 2014, Union Pacific Corporation's (Union Pacific) reported that its principal operating subsidiary Union Pacific Railroad will strengthen Wyoming's and Nebraska's transportation infrastructures by investing $9.6 million in the rail line between near Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and Shawnee, Wyoming. Union Pacific stated that the project is one of Union Pacific Railroad's nearly 1,500 projects that it will complete across its 32,000-mile network this year to help improve train operating efficiency, reduce motorist wait times at crossings and enhance safety. Under this project, the railroad will replace 68,000 concrete railroad ties and install 26,000 tons of rock ballast. In addition, nearly a half mile of rail in various curves will be renewed. The project, which is funded entirely by Union Pacific Railroad, is scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2014.
