Story+Structure Grows its Human-Centered Design Practice, with New Clients and Projects for 2015
BOSTON, April 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Story+Structure, specialists in human-centered design, are proud to announce a swift start to 2015 with a host of exciting new clients and projects. Masters of designing with the end user in mind, Story+Structure is partnering with these new clients to develop processes, products and solutions that promote meaningful engagement between people and organizations, across a range of industries, from pill dispensing robots to expanding access to adult education. These clients include:
Artaic Health – Artaic Health – Following receipt of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant for adapting Artaic's technology to healthcare, Artaic turned to Story+Structure for the next step. Together, they explored what it would mean to provide not just innovative technology to the end user, but a patient-focused solution.
Mike Trachtman, CTO of Artaic Health said, "Story+Structure helped us understand how to step back and look holistically at the entire journey of this product, incorporating the perspective of patients and providers. It would have taken us a lot longer to achieve what we have without the Story+Structure perspective."
Boston Center for Adult Education – Integrating a custom-built marketing website with the school's current registration system was only step one. The next, and most important step, was to create a rich user experience that students could easily interact with and navigate. Now the once overly complicated class sign-up process, that had once resulted in a myriad of issues, is nearly effortless.
Susie Brown, Executive Director of the Boston Center for Adult Education, stated, "During the 'Discovery Phase' of working with Story+Structure, it was revealed that the process by which students were registering for classes on our site wasn't at all what we had imagined. They were adding classes to their cart before getting to the description page, which resulted in them missing the 'fine print' of what the class actually consisted of. We'd have vegetarians who signed up for a cooking class, only to find that the class was "meat based" as noted in the description of the course. Story+Structure's helped us solve these issues, resulting in a much more student-centric online experience."
InterSystems – Working closely with InterSystems senior management and the Learning Services department, S+S introduced human-centered design principles to guide an important new continuous learning initiative to provide online learning, anywhere and anytime, to clients around the world. John Paladino, Vice President of Client Services, stated, "Our clients' feedback has been excellent, and we are committed to make the experience convenient, fun and effective."
Story+Structure is also pleased to announce that it has entered phase two of its work with two outstanding institutions of higher education, Berklee College of Music and California State University, East Bay (CSUEB) Continuing Education. Story+Structure is helping Berklee College of Music shape and define their "One Berklee" vision to create a student experience that transcends the traditional higher education lifecycle. By realizing that Berklee's dedication to music and their students is really a lifetime experience, Story+Structure is able to create an outstanding product. In phase two of their work with CSUEB, Story+Structure is continuing to refine and curate the best student experience possible for the CSUEB adult education community.
