StoreDot Presents New Generation of MolecuLED™ TV at Display Week Conference
After unveiling the first 55 inch display that was a breakthrough in display technology last year, this year StoreDot is demonstrating white backlight, consumer facing MolecuLED™ TVs
LOS ANGELES, May 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
StoreDot, the nanotechnology materials pioneer known for its super-fast battery charging technology, will showcase its new generation of display technology - a display powered by StoreDot's MolecuLED™ technology that is suitable to all LCD displays with a white backlight unit. This novel metal-free approach to color conversion, shifts lost photons coming from the backlight in order to enhance the red and green colors. This groundbreaking technology is the only fully organic solution for all LCD TVs and has the potential to improve the color gamut by about 15%.
StoreDot's SC2 - Single Color Conversion MolecuLED™ display technology allows white backlight unit displays to produce vivid colors, be more cost effective, and is environmentally friendly. The MolecuLED™ is an organic color conversion film that delivers highly competitive wide color gamut at a fraction of the cost when compared to Quantum Dot solutions. It is completely heavy metals free - with no use of Cadmium, Indium, or any type of metal.
