Storage Post Self Storage Helps New York Cares Collect Coats at Winter's Eve Festival

ATLANTA, Nov. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- As winter approaches, New York Cares and Storage Post Self Storage are working hard to collect as many coats as possible for at-risk New Yorkers. On Monday, November 26, Storage Post volunteered to assist New York Cares in collecting coats at the 13^th Annual Winter's Eve event held at the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District in New York City.

Storage Post employee volunteers and a Storage Post moving truck helped New York Cares during the evening event, storing the coats in the truck and later delivering them to the New York Cares warehouse. The truck was stationed in the midst of the festival at Dante Park near Broadway and West 63^rd Street.

"We love New York and we want to do our best to be good community members during this season of giving and recovery. We live and work in these neighborhoods, and love to see everyone enjoying the holiday spirit," said Vice President of Operations Pete Gioiello. "We encourage everyone to bring coat donations to a Storage Post New York location to help those in need."

Winter's Eve is New York's largest holiday festival and includes a neighborhood tree-lighting ceremony, entertainment, food, shopping and other family-friendly activities.
