Storage Post Self Storage Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month
ATLANTA, Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Storage Post Self Storage is spotlighting its Hispanic customers and community members in 2012's National Hispanic Heritage Month, which takes place September 15 through October 15. Hispanic Heritage Month honors Hispanic-Americans, celebrates their heritage and recognizes their contributions to the United States.
Throughout 2012, Storage Post increased its Spanish-language marketing efforts and refocused resources into its Hispanic customer base. Storage Post has a strong presence in New York and New Jersey urban markets and a diverse mix of customers, a large percentage of which speak Spanish.
During National Hispanic Heritage Month, Storage Post is placing a number of Spanish-language advertisements in both print publications and online. The marketing plan includes several advertisements with El Diario La Prensa, a leading Hispanic news and information company with a daily New York readership numbering more than 286,000.
Additionally, a full-page, color advertisement appears in Yankees Magazine en Espanol – the first-ever issue printed entirely in Spanish for the New York baseball team's Hispanic fans.
"We have translated a number of communications materials into Spanish to better serve our storage customers and advertising was the next logical step," said Susie O'Connell, Storage Post vice president of communications. "We are proud to be part of National Hispanic Heritage Month, and we jumped at the chance to be included in the commemorative issue of Yankees Magazine en Espanol."
To ensure that Spanish-speaking customers can learn about Storage Post, self storage rental contracts, point of sale pieces and informative brochures were produced in Spanish. In addition to in-store material, Storage Post launched a fully-functional Spanish website and Spanish mobile site in July 2012. Storage Post plans to expand its Hispanic marketing program with additional inclusive advertising placements in 2013.
