Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT, Inc.) Announces Award of IT Services Contract Supporting the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center)
GREENBELT, Md., Feb. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SGT, Inc., a leading provider of IT, Engineering, Operations and Science Processing Services today announced the award of the Support Onsite for Information Technology Services (SOFITS) in support of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Volpe Center.
The SOFITS Contract is a follow-on contract to the predecessor Volpe Transportation Information Project Support (V-TRIPS) Contract under which SGT was one of the contractors performing work. The full and open competitive procurement resulted in a large business award to SGT. The scope of the contract is to provide IT support to a variety of Volpe Center transportation systems projects that cut across all modes of transportation for the DOT and for non-DOT organizations, including state and local governments.
