Still Time to "Get Your Heart Racing" at Ford Test Track This Saturday

DETROIT, Sept. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Limited tickets remain for the Get Your Heart Racing fundraiser this Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the private Ford test track in Dearborn.  The action-packed event raises funds for Henry Ford Health System's Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute.

Participants with the exclusive "Shelby" ticket can spend the full afternoon on the track -- a car enthusiast's dream come true, an exclusive opportunity to experience Dearborn's renown track with hot laps, drag races, wet pad tests, coned driving challenges and off-road experiences in new Ford products. 

The track events will be followed by The Monster Energy Pit Party from 4 – 7 p.m. Attendees will enjoy sumptuous food and cocktails will be served.  Vaughn Gittin Jr., current overall points leader in Formula Drift standings will put on a no holds barred drifting demonstration.  One lucky guest will win the ultimate door prize – a customized 2012 Ford Focus with a "Euro Series" body kit.   Attendees will participate in auto-themed activities and a live auction that will feature unique treasures for the car-racing enthusiasts!  Tickets for the Monster Energy Pit Party only are also available.
