BELLEVUE, Wash., Aug. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The most comprehensive educational and networking event for professionals in watershed and water quality protection, the 16th annual StormCon opens its doors August 27th through 31st at the Meydenbauer Convention Center and Hyatt Regency Hotel in Bellevue, Washington.
Surrounded by pristine natural beauty with outside-the-box stormwater management solutions, this year's StormCon offers an expanded educational lineup of CEU-accredited courses, unparalleled networking opportunities for watershed and water quality protection professionals, and a world-class entertainment experience.
The exhibit hall will be the networking hub of the event, where hundreds of exhibitors will be in attendance to answer questions and demonstrate the latest technologies available to address today's increasingly pervasive watershed and water quality protection challenges. The sold-out trade show floor will feature the largest lineup of solutions to rejuvenate waterways in urban areas and revitalize local community stormwater plans.
In addition to the exhibit hall, the vast networking events at StormCon will include buffet-style networking luncheons, an opening general session, complimentary refreshment gatherings, and a gala reception with live music, entertainment, and a Pacific Northwest inspired buffet.
The opening general session, hosted by AbTech Industries on Tuesday, August 29th in the Hyatt Regency Grand Ballroom, will provide an important window into the current state and future of the stormwater industry. The keynote speakers include the recipient of the 2017 National Public-Private Partnership's Excellence in Public Leadership Award and the Acting Director of the US EPA's Water Protection Division, Dominique Lueckenhoff, as well as the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Seattle Public Utilities, Mami Hara. All StormCon attendees are invited to the keynote address to participate in the national stormwater conversation.
From an educational standpoint, the expanded curriculum will be presented and attended by the innovators in watershed and water quality protection from throughout the country. Highly interactive and forward-looking, the CEU-accredited courses at StormCon will focus on how to bring back the water quality benefits of natural systems to urban environments. As such, green infrastructure and watershed-scale modeling will be covered extensively, rather than focusing on costly water treatment plants and grey infrastructure.
Registration is still available but limited. Don't miss the chance to attend the largest watershed and water quality protection event in North America.
