STG International and MicroPact Formally Announce Strategic Partnership
Complementary strengths will provide integrated solutions to the government's human resources systems
HERNDON, Va., May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroPact, the leading innovator in a new generation of data tracking software, in conjunction with STG International, Inc. (STGi), a nationwide provider of human capital management solutions, medical staffing/services, and professional consulting services to the federal government, announced today they have developed a strategic partnership to provide the federal government with integrated support for human resource (HR) processes.
With the new partnership, STGi and MicroPact will bring a comprehensive HR solution to government customers facing challenges with enterprise-level management of human capital programs such as worker compensation programs, alternative dispute resolution, equal employment opportunity issues and employee and labor relations.
MicroPact provides a suite of low-risk commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products that have a robust configuration capability that is scalable, tailorable and adaptable to an organization's business needs and processes, without the need of custom programming. While installing their flagship COTS product entellitrak® to manage worker's compensation cases for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), MicroPact also was able to develop, test and successfully implement a unique data transmission solution that allowed the agency to efficiently and automatically report information of federal workers' compensation cases from CBP directly to the Department of Labor's (DOL) Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP). In addition to CBP, MicroPact has enterprise installations in 120 federal agency environments, covering more than 90 percent of all cabinet-level organizations.
STGi's experts currently support 85 percent of all cabinet-level organizations, specifically in areas of HR service delivery, workers' compensation and employee/labor relations.
"Based on many years in human resource management for the public sector, I understand the value of a case management solution in support of strategic HR systems. This partnership brings together the technology expertise of MicroPact with the extensive subject matter expertise of STGi. Together, we can provide government with a total HR business solution that maximizes the efficiency of the HR business practice, creates return on investment and promotes transparency in operation," said Bob Hosenfeld, vice president of strategic initiatives for STGi. Prior to his position with STGi, Hosenfeld served as Assistant Commissioner for Human Resource Management for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Before that, Hosenfeld served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Human Resources Management with the Department of Health and Human Services and Human Resources Director for the National Institutes of Health.
During Hosenfeld's tenure at CBP, he oversaw the successful implementation of MicroPact's software entellitrak and witnessed how MicroPact and STGi were already jointly contributing to improve the workers' compensation process for the agency.
For CBP, entellitrak provided central management of the agency's workers' compensation cases, which gathered all the data – previously maintained manually in disparate offices – into a standardized process and nationally accessible database. And, because entellitrak provided a fully integrated system, the data was compliant with the DOL's Office of Workers' Compensation Programs' requirements. According to Kristoffer Collo, president and chief executive officer of MicroPact, "The time and cost savings CBP realized by standardizing the entire process of each case translated to expedited services and relief to their employees."
"STGi and MicroPact's work at CBP gave us the opportunity to look at trends and issues in a meaningful, 360-degree way, and that's something we were not able to do before," said Hosenfeld. "We look forward to delivering equally beneficial results to more of our government customers with this strategic partnership."
"Combining STGi's expert knowledge of workers' compensation, experienced nurse case managers and HR subject matter experts with our knowledgeable program support and suite of COTS software products will provide the government with a solution that's not available anywhere else," added Collo. "We are excited to continue working with STGi and look forward to delivering added value to our customers."
