WASHINGTON, April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Steward Partners Holdings LLC (Steward), the holding company for Steward Partners Global Advisory and Steward Partners Consulting Solutions, today announced that Stephen Key, the former Chief Financial Officer of ConAgra and Textron, has joined as the ninth member of the firm's Board of Directors. Over the last year Steward has welcomed several high-powered executives to their board including Janet Robinson, Former CEO of The New York Times Company, who joined in late 2014. Other prominent leaders include Board Chairman, Michael McMahon, Founder and Managing Director of global investment firm Pine Brook Partners, Gary Miller, President and Co-Founder of Patty Madden Inc., and Dan Polk, CEO of Baxter, Stinson and Polk, a premier multi-family office. Representing Steward's senior management team on the board are founding partners, Mike Maurer, James Gold, Hy Saporta and Scott Abry.

Stephen Key is the sole proprietor of Key Consulting, LLC, a financial consulting firm he founded in 2001. From 1995 to 2001, Mr. Key was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Textron Inc., a multi-industry company with a global network of aircraft, defense, industrial and finance businesses.  Prior to that, Mr. Key was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ConAgra, Inc., from 1992 until 1995, and with Ernst & Young from 1968 to 1992, last serving as the Managing Partner of the New York Office of Ernst & Young from 1988 until 1992.  Mr. Key presently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of many NYSE and NASDAQ companies from finance, to farm equipment, to wind energy. Mr. Key was Vice Chairman and a member of the Board of Trustees, Chairman of the Audit, Finance, and Governance Committees and member of the Executive and Compensation Committees of the Rhode Island School of Design from 2006 to 2012. Mr. Key is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York, and has authored numerous articles on accounting and financial matters.  He earned an A.B. in Economics and Mathematics from Dartmouth College in 1966 and an M.B.A. from Cornell University in 1968.
