Steward Partners and Raymond James Add to Washington and New York Offices; Advisors with $270 Million in Assets Become New Partners
RAYMOND JAMES AFFILIATE WELCOMES THE STAADEKER GROUP TO WASHINGTON, D.C., AND STEVEN LIBOV TO NEW YORK CITY
WASHINGTON, June 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Steward Partners Global Advisory, LLC, an employee-owned, full-service independent partnership associated with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. (member FINRA/SIPC), announced today that Paul Staadeker and Jeremy Staadeker of The Staadeker Wealth Management Group have joined Steward Partners as Directors and Founding Partners. The Staadeker Group, formerly of Wells Fargo Advisors, where they managed $175 million in client assets, joins Steward's Washington, D.C., office. Additionally, Steven Libov has joined Steward Partners as Senior Vice President and Partner. Libov, formerly of Janney Montgomery Scott, where he managed $92 million in client assets, joins Steward's midtown Manhattan office. Year to date, Steward Partners has added over $2 billion in recruited assets under management and 18 new wealth managers.
"We've had a remarkably busy six months here at Steward Partners," stated Steward's CEO, Jim Gold. "We are expanding our RIA and seeing more opportunities in the world of succession planning. Moreover, many independents, insurance planners and family offices have been looking to our model for partnership opportunities. We want the partnership to grow, but more importantly, we want it to evolve," said Gold.
With that evolution come more transitions. As reported last month in On Wall Street,* Steward Partners has a well-established process for handling each new transition. "A transition happens across all areas. It doesn't happen in a vacuum," said Valarie Margaritopoulos, head of operations for Steward Partners, noting that Steward's transition specialists manage the impact on administration, human resources and more.
METRO D.C. EXPANSION
The addition of The Staadeker Group, formerly at Wells Fargo in McLean, Virginia, broadens Steward's already strong footprint in the Washington metropolitan area. "The area just outside of D.C. is rich with talent, and teams in this market are hungry for this type of model," said Jeremy Staadeker. "We've seen what Jeff Gonyo, the divisional president, and his partners have already done in Washington and Bethesda, Maryland, and we are excited to be a part of something special."
Paul Staadeker agreed, adding, "The Steward Partners model, its association with Raymond James and its leadership team were very impressive to me. I've seen the industry change multiple times over my career, and I felt this partnership, its culture and the future direction of wealth management can best be served at Steward."
"I wasn't looking to make a change at this point in my career," said Libov. "But as I began to think about my own team dynamic and personal retirement, I decided to seek out a partnership that would fit me both culturally and logistically. I also thought it would be prudent to explore options beyond the four walls where I was housed at the time and find the best place for my clients to continue with the financial plans that we created. Steward Partners and its relationship with Raymond James made the decision an easy one. This is where my clients and I need to be."
Since November 2013, Steward Partners has added 64 advisors with nearly $50 million in trailing 12-month production and over $6.8 billion in assets under management. Earlier this year, Steward Partners announced the opening of the firm's ninth and tenth locations, in Clearwater, Florida, and Boston respectively.
