(NYSE MKT: GLOW), a leading global provider of cloud managed video services, today announced that Steven Peri, a former executive at Tandberg and Cisco, will join the company as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, starting September 4, 2012.
"Steve will play a key role at Glowpoint supporting legal and HR related functions, and he will be a key contributor to our corporate strategy and development initiatives, as part of the senior executive council," stated Joe Laezza, president and CEO of Glowpoint. "He is joining the company as we focus on accelerating growth and building on our momentum to capture market share for cloud and managed services for video communications. Peri comes to Glowpoint with a strong history in the videoconferencing and telepresence industry. He has served as General Counsel-Telepresence at Cisco where he oversaw the worldwide legal aspects of that business, including sales support, management of intellectual property, and all contract matters. Prior to this, he served as Senior Vice President General Counsel at TANDBERG where he was a member of the senior management team, which led the company through rapid growth and change,culminating with Cisco acquiring the company in 2010.

Peri holds a JD degree from the University of Pennsylvania law school and an AB in History, cum laude, from Princeton University.
