Steve Massah Appointed President & CEO AT Formex, LLC

SAN DIEGO, March 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Formex, LLC ("Formex"), a leader in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, announced that Mr. Steve Massah has joined Formex as President & CEO effective March 17^th 2014.

Mr. Massah has over 20 years of GMP experience in manufacturing operations, drug and medical device product development, global strategic outsourcing, finance and business development within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Prior to joining Formex, LLC, Mr. Massah served as the Strategic Drug Product Manufacturing and Outsourcing Executive from 2011 to 2014 at Gilead Sciences located in Foster City, CA for both solid oral and sterile drug products in the Infectious Disease, Cardiovascular, Oncology, Respiratory, Autoimmune and Inflammatory Diseases arenas. Before joining Gilead; Mr. Massah had roles of increasing responsibility in commercial and operations related positions notably as President of Pharamone Resources working with many major Pharmaceutical companies. Mr. Massah also had management roles at Avanir, ISTA, and Neurocrine Biosciences. Mr. Massah graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University and an M.S. in Organic Chemistry and an M.S. in Material Sciences Engineering from the University of Texas. Mr. Massah also has a California State Board of Pharmacy license and is CPIM certified.
