Steve Katz Joins Triumfant's Advisory Board

ROCKVILLE, Md., Nov. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Triumfant®, creator of patented software that detects, analyzes and remediates the malicious attacks that evade traditional endpoint protections, today announced that Steve  Katz, known as the world's first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and longtime industry veteran has joined Triumfant's Advisory Board.

Mr. Katz brings more than thirty years of experience in establishing, building and directing information security and privacy functions. He is founder and President of Security Risk Solutions, LLC, an information security company providing consulting and advisory services to major, mid-size, startup and venture capital companies. Prior to this position, Mr. Katz served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Citibank, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, and most recently as interim CISO at Kaiser Permanente. In these roles, Mr. Katz built global information security programs and instituted company-wide security and privacy policies.

Combining his deep security industry expertise and business continuity focus, Mr. Katz is also renowned within the financial services vertical. Mr. Katz was appointed as the first Financial Services Sector Coordinator for Critical Infrastructure Protection by the Secretary of the Treasury.  He was also the first Chairman of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS/ISAC) and serves as an advisor to their Board of Directors.  Mr. Katz also serves as an advisor to the executive committee of the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC).
