Steve Fomchenko Joins Crum & Forster as SVP of Property Insurance
MORRISTOWN, N.J., May 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Crum & Forster (C&F) is pleased to announce that Steve Fomchenko has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Property. Crum & Forster's property operation currently consists of E&S/Custom Property and Inland Marine business written through its Seneca Insurance subsidiary, plus property business that was previously written by Crum & Forster, Valiant and First Mercury.
Steve reports to Doug Libby, Chairman and CEO of Crum & Forster, and also serves as a Senior Vice President of Seneca reporting to Gary Dubois, its President and CEO.

Under his leadership, we will lay the groundwork for a strong C&F Standard Lines Property division." Steve holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Management Engineering, and has substantial domestic and international property and loss engineering expertise. He also has expertise in highly specialized technical classes, including technology, oil & gas, and other energy risks.
Prior to joining Crum & Forster, Steve held the position of Global Head of General Property at Torus Insurance where he was responsible for launching their global business unit. He began his career at Factory Mutual as a Loss Prevention Consultant. He later joined Allendale Insurance as an underwriter. From there, he joined XL Insurance, where he ultimately became Senior Vice President, Property of the Americas, and was responsible for a portfolio of over $300 million originating from Canada, U.S., and Latin America.
Steve will be spending his time in both Crum & Forster's headquarters in Morristown, NJ, and at Seneca's New York office.
