ATLANTA, March 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Giving back is a given for SCOUT; the agency has contributed to countless charitable organizations since its inception in 1999. But this year the agency leaders wanted to do it differently, seeking out one organization that embodies SCOUT's mission of Be Brave, one where they can focus efforts and make a significant impact.
SCOUT found it in the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting our nation's bravest. The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation was created to advocate for, support and recognize America's first responders and military in honor of the life and legacy of New York City firefighter Stephen Siller, who laid down his life to save others on 9/11/01.
"Once we learned about the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and their mission to support America's bravest, we knew we had to get involved," said SCOUT CEO and co-founder Jennifer Brekke. "Their higher purpose of helping our fallen heroes and their families is extraordinary. The bravery that they stand for is undeniable, and it is our privilege to support these heroes."
SCOUT built its agency on the mantra – Be Brave. It defines its culture and the way SCOUT staffers live and lead their lives. Now SCOUT is supporting the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation's mission with a pro bono effort that includes a broad awareness campaign, including branding, website redesign, videos, social media and support of the 15th anniversary concert of 9/11 this September.
"The SCOUT team really understands our mission and what our values are," said Frank Siller, Chairman of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. "SCOUT's efforts will help us enhance our communication and fundraising efforts so that we can provide much-needed support for more families of first-line responders and military heroes."
