Stellina di Notte Prosecco® Official Toast of the 66th Emmy® Awards Governors Ball and Creative Arts Ball
Sparkling Wine Makes First Appearance at 2014 Emmy Celebrations
NAPA, Calif., Aug. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Stellina di Notte Prosecco, from romantic northeast Italy, will be poured at the Emmy® Awards Governors Ball to be held August 25, 2014, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, immediately following the Emmy Awards telecast at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles. This is the first year Stellina di Notte Prosecco will be featured at the Emmy celebrations.
From the cool climate vineyards of Italy's northern Veneto region, Stellina di Notte, meaning "little night star," is a delightful Italian sparkling wine, which takes its name from the native Prosecco grape varietal. Enticing, delicate spring flower notes are accompanied by delicate pear and apple aromas with flavors of citrus, melon and honey.
The Stellina di Notte winemaking team consists of Italian winemaker, Lorenzo Rosso, and American winemaker, Marty Spate. This cross continental partnership allows them to enhance centuries-old Italian tradition with modern innovation and technique to translate the vivace of Italy to the glass. Our winemakers suggested pairing Stellina di Notte Prosecco with oysters, smoked salmon, chicken salads, omelets and cheeses.
Stellina di Notte Prosecco joins the 2011 BV Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2013 Beaulieu Vineyard Maestro Collection Sauvignon Blanc to complement award-winning chef, Joachim Splichal's culinary menu.
"The 66th anniversary of the Emmys is a perfect occasion for a celebratory toast with our Stellina di Notte Prosecco," said Marty Spate, senior winemaker. "We look forward to raising a glass to celebrate television's biggest night."
