SteelCloud Achieves Milestone for Hosted BlackBerry Services
Signs 200th Hosting Service Partner
ASHBURN, Va., Dec. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- SteelCloud, Inc. (Pink Sheets: SCLD) a leading integrator of mobility computing appliance solutions and BlackBerry® Elite Alliance Member, today announced that it has reached an agreement with its 200th hosting partner to offer hosted BlackBerry services. SteelCloud's hosting partnerships have grown dramatically since the program inception a year ago.
By signing on with SteelCloud, hosters receive BlackBerry Enterprise Server licensing with no upfront license fees. Hosters only pay monthly license fees for their actual usage. SteelCloud manages license fee payments and volume reporting for the BlackBerry hosting program worldwide. In addition to license management, SteelCloud's hosting partners also have the option to deploy the SteelCloud SteelWorks® appliance solution for rapid implementation of BlackBerry Enterprise Server, either at the hoster or the client site.
"Reaching the 200 partner mark in just the first year of our BlackBerry hoster program has been quite an accomplishment for our company," said Brian Hajost, SteelCloud's President and CEO. I believe that this success can be attributable both to SteelCloud's program execution and the attractiveness of the BlackBerry platform for both domestic and international hosting companies. As enterprises around the world become more sensitive to security and cyber threats, interest in the BlackBerry platform can only increase."
As the SteelCloud hoster business grows, the company continues to evolve its product line with the recent release of SteelWorks FedMobile™ VM and SteelWorks STIG360™. FedMobile VM is a VMware® Ready solution designed for Department of Defense organizations that are looking to deploy their BlackBerry Enterprise Servers in a virtualized computing environment, while SteelWorks STIG360 assures those organizations that their BlackBerry Enterprise Servers will remain compliant with the latest DISA STIGs.
