SARASOTA, Fla., Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hurricane Irma has had an impact on Stearns Bank's Florida branches in Sarasota, St. Petersburg and Venice and we thank our customers for their patience.
All three branches were closed Friday, Sept. 8, with Sarasota and St. Petersburg opening for business on Wednesday, Sept. 13, and Venice opening on Thursday, Sept. 14.
Stearns Bank would like to help our Florida customers. It's important to us that we do our part to make the recovery from Hurricane Irma easier. Here is how we're helping our Florida customers:
- For consumer & business checking and savings accounts, we will waive overdraft fees Sept. 8 - 25, 2017
- We will waive – or refund – late fees on loan payments for 3 months (Sept. 12 - Dec. 12, 2017)
- We will refund surcharges for any ATM transactions incurred between Sept. 8-25, 2017
Stearns Bank feels this is the very least we can do considering the impact the hurricane has had on the region.
