ST. CLOUD, Minn., Sept. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Veterans Day is approaching on Saturday, November 11, and it's the perfect time to honor all who have served our country – along with their families.
During the week leading up to Veterans Day (November 6-10, 2017), Stearns Bank will donate all loan packaging fees and documentation fees collected from our borrowers to Wounded Warriors Family Support.
Wounded Warriors Family Support's mission is to provide support to families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations.
Stearns Bank CEO and owner Norman C. Skalicky began his military officer training at the University of North Dakota through its ROTC program.
Skalicky was in active duty in the United States Army from 1956-58 and then continued to be in the reserves for more than 15 years after his active duty concluded.
That's why honoring our country's veterans is of the utmost importance to him.
"We are proud to support and recognize the many men and women who serve our country," Skalicky said. "They are the foundation of our country's freedom and security. We are grateful for their dedication and sacrifices."
Stearns Bank will continue to waive all SBA packaging fees for eligible veteran business owners.*
The Small Business Administration recently announced that effective October 1, 2017, the guaranty fees for loans of $125,000 or less will be waived. In addition, loans of $125,001 up to $350,000 made to veteran business owners may be eligible for 50 percent off the guaranty fee.
Please take the time to honor our veterans on Veterans Day on Saturday, November 11. To donate to the Wounded Warriors Family Support, visit www.wwfs.org.
