States Weigh in at NTSB Attentive Driving Forum

WASHINGTON, March 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) will be among the panelists at the National Transportation Safety Board's (NTSB's) Attentive Driving - Countermeasures for Distraction forum taking place today in Washington, D.C.

Christopher J. Murphy, GHSA's Immediate Past Chairman and Director of the California Office of Highway Safety, will be speaking during the second panel, discussing state enforcement. He will discuss the effects of California's distracted driving law enforcement efforts and also touch on the results of efforts in other states. California has been among the most aggressive states in enforcing texting and handheld cell phone bans.
