Stater Bros. Charities Honors Nation's Military and Veterans

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., Nov. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of Veteran's Day, Stater Bros. Charities will partner with the Ontario Reign Hockey Team to host a Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Citizen Business Bank Arena in Ontario for soldiers returning from overseas, active duty officers and local veterans.  Puck drops at 6 p.m.

Each branch of service will be present at the Military Appreciation Night: Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy, and the Coast Guard along with troops who have recently returned from the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Special guest appearances include the family of Justin Crabbe, a Marine from Rancho Cucamonga who received the Purple Heart award earlier this year from the President of the United States.  Stater Bros. Markets will be presenting $1,000 in Stater Bros. gift cards to the family of Justin Crabbe.  Also, approximately 65 US Army recruits will be sworn in that night out on the ice.

Each attendant that evening will also have the opportunity to help local Veteran's Organizations bidding on special one-of-a-kind Patriotic Jersey's during the live auction portion following the game.
