Statement From UNITE HERE President John Wilhelm in Support of Comprehensive Immigration Reform

WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --Senator Robert Menendez has placed a significant proposal for comprehensive immigration reform before the U.S. Senate. We fully support Senator Menendez's legislation and we urge the Senate to consider it and pass it!

The framework Senator Menendez proposes is thoughtful and reasonable. It includes provision for the unification of families, smart employment verification, secure borders, a commission to review labor markets and visa opportunities, a provisional worker visa program with a pathway to permanence and significant wage and labor protections.
