Statement from Rowena Bautista, Administrator for The Wanaque Center
HASKELL, N.J., Oct. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- All of us here at The Wanaque Center feel a tremendous sense of loss. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones impacted by this tragedy. As 7-day-a-week caregivers, when anything happens in our caring community, it's devastating. But we cannot possibly begin to feel the pain in the hearts of family members who have lost loved ones. We offer our sincerest condolences to all affected. As we move forward, we are also concerned with the safety, security and comfort our residents, their families and our staff.
We've taken a number of key steps to support this grieving community and our families. First, we are offering professional grief counseling to anyone impacted. Second, we have set-up a 24/7 hotline for those affected to contact us with any questions or concerns. Lastly, we are working side-by-side with medical experts from the Department of Health and the CDC, and will be in constant contact with them until this issue is fully resolved.
We have dedicated our lives to caring for a fragile but wonderful part of our population and we remain fully committed to serving them to the best of our abilities
