LYNNFIELD, Mass., Nov. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to inquiries about a YouTube video appearing to show thickened chocolate milk at a New York school, we want to assure consumers that there is no quality issue with Hood Chocolate Milk.

Hood conducted a comprehensive evaluation of chocolate milk manufactured in that batch including a review of production records, retained plant samples, and approximately 100 samples returned to us from the school, and there were no quality issues.  We have received no complaints of this nature.

We will continue to monitor for any similar issues but we also know that internet guides on how to make so-called "milk slime" have become popular. Rest assured Hood Milk remains a safe and wholesome part of your family's meal plan.

We hope this information will alleviate concerns about what we believe to be a false and misleading video.
