Statement by FMCS Acting Director Allison Beck On Labor Negotiations Between Space Needle LLC And UNITE-HERE Local 8 in Seattle, WA
WASHINGTON, May 7, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service Acting Director Allison Beck today issued the following statement on labor negotiations between representatives of Space Needle LLC and UNITE-HERE Local 8, Seattle, WA:
"Upon the request of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), the parties have agreed to resume negotiations under the auspices of FMCS mediators on May 6, 2015. Due to the sensitivity of these negotiations and consistent with the Agency's longstanding practice, the FMCS will have no further comment at this time regarding the location of the meeting or the content of negotiations. In addition, the parties have agreed to an FMCS request to refrain from public comments regarding the status of negotiations."
