Statement by European Union High Representative Catherine Ashton on the Iranian Nuclear Issue
WASHINGTON, March 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, issued the following statement today:
"Today I have replied to Dr. Jalili's letter of February 14.
"On behalf of China, France, Germany, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, I have offered to resume talks with Iran on the nuclear issue.
"Time and venue of these talks will now be agreed.
"We hope that Iran will now enter into a sustained process of constructive dialogue which will deliver real progress in resolving the international community's long-standing concerns on its nuclear program."
