State Seeks Land Planning Consultant to Assist in Development of Sale Plan for Future of Former Harrisburg State Hospital Property
HARRISBURG, Pa., July 7, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- State Department of General Services Secretary Curt Topper today announced the department is currently seeking the services of a land planning consultant to assist the commonwealth in the development of a sale plan for the DGS Annex property, formerly known as the Harrisburg State Hospital. Interested parties can respond to the Request for Quote until COB Monday, Sept. 21, 2015.
"We want to ensure the process for determining the future of the DGS Annex is thorough and transparent," Topper said. "We are seeking the services of a land planning consultant to help identify recommendations for the sale of the property that are not only economically viable, but also mindful of the property's environmental and historical significance."
The successful qualified land planning consultant will assist DGS by providing guidance throughout all phases of the real estate sale process, including, but not limited to, property appraisals, environmental site assessments, zoning & planning, financial analysis, stakeholder input, public meetings and marketing of the property. During the process, the land planning consultant will generate a formalized report encompassing the research and engagements described. The final report will be part of DGS sale plan that will be submitted to the PA State Legislature for the approval of sale of the property.
Vendors interested in providing this type of service must first become qualified through the Invitation To Qualify, or ITQ, for Consulting Services (4400007410) contract, choosing "Real Estate Planning Services" as your pre-qualification category. Information on that process can be found on the DGS Bureau of Procurement's ITQ page.
