State Representative Candidate Jonathan "JP" Parker Sees Victory In Democratic Primary
MIAMI, Sept. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The results of last week's Democratic Primary are in. Republican candidate for Florida House District 113, Jonathan "JP" Parker sees them as a victory. "Based on the results, the November general election is now a referendum on integrity, transparency and ethics," says Parker who believes he is the only choice to represent the residents of North Bay Village, Miami Beach, Fisher Island, and downtown Miami through Little Havana.
With Parker, this is not just a campaign slogan. If he tells you he will do something, he will. And, it will be within the confines of the law! Ironically, that's exactly what a State Representative should do as one legislates on behalf of constituents.
Parker's resume is rich with experience in public service and professional accomplishments, preparing him to be the next State Representative. He chaired a Florida Bar Grievance committee and served as a Financial Industries' arbitrator for over two decades, in addition to being a lawyer licensed in three states and operating retail businesses throughout District.
Parker believes in common-sense ideas for making the District a better place to live, work, and play. He is concerned about the same issues as his constituents—overdevelopment, insane traffic, flooding, and school choice and safety. Plus, he wants to create ways to fight government corruption, reduce taxes and cut waste. He encourages and supports local business that enhance our daily lives.
While the Democrats spent months slinging mud at each other vying to oppose Parker in November, he devoted his energy to meeting and listening to the people of District 113.
Jonathan "JP" Parker was born in New Jersey and has lived in Miami for 34 years, 27 of which include residing in the District. He has a B.S. in Math/Computer Science from Tulane University and a J.D. from the University of Miami. He practices in various areas of the law, and is a licensed financial advisor and insurance agent, giving him diverse professional tested experience in areas affecting everyone. He served as President of the Rotary Club of Miami and Chairman of Major Gifts for Miami's American Cancer Society. Presently he serves on the Personnel Board of the City of Miami Beach.
