LYNDHURST, N.J., Dec. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Scarinci Hollenbeck (www.sh-law.com) is proud to announce that Nathanya G. Simon, a State-leading Special Education attorney for nearly 40 years, has joined the firm as partner. Ms. Simon will be located in Scarinci Hollenbeck's Lyndhurst, NJ Law Office where she will help lead the firm's Education Law group. With an emphasis on Special Education, Ms. Simon will also provide legal guidance in a myriad of issues pertaining to school board representation matters and other related areas of Education Law. Regarded as a pioneer in her field of expertise, Ms. Simon's experience adds significant depth to Scarinci Hollenbeck's growing Education Law practice.
"Having established herself as the preeminent Special Education Law attorney in New Jersey, it is both an honor and a privilege to welcome Nathanya to Scarinci Hollenbeck. With her wide breadth of experience, I am confident that she will be a welcome and positive addition to our Education Law practice," said John Geppert, chair of the firm's Education Law group.
Trailblazer in New Jersey Special Education Law
Prior to joining Scarinci Hollenbeck, Ms. Simon was a partner at Schwartz, Simon, Edelstein & Celso in Whippany, NJ, where she made herself known as a pioneer in the field of Special Education Law. Ms. Simon played a major role in the firm's school board representation in all legal, labor and special education matters. In addition, she was consistently offered the opportunity to counsel New Jersey school board clients ranging from day-to-day matters to complex special education litigation.
Reflecting on her years in the practice, Ms. Simon stated, "Since special education is a very specialized and complex area of the law, there is no substitute for experience. It is only with years of experience that an attorney can understand the nuances of the procedural and substantive aspects of special education laws and cases. I look forward to bringing my expertise over to Scarinci Hollenbeck and being a part of the firm's Education Law group."
A Growing Special Education Law Practice
Scarinci Hollenbeck's Education Law practice has seen tremendous growth over the last year with the most recent addition being Carolyn R. Chaudry. Ms. Chaudry is a former colleague of Nathanya Simon's also from Schwartz Simon Edelstein & Celso. With the two reunited, Scarinci Hollenbeck has successfully organized one of the premier Special Education Law practices in New Jersey.
