State Farm® Offers Virtual Career Fair for People in Their PJs
BLOOMINGTON, Ill., Feb. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Job-hunting? State Farm has a virtual career fair on Feb. 22 from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. CST where people can search for jobs without ever leaving their cozy comforts of home.
The virtual career fair allows job-seekers to browse State Farm booths about becoming an agent or a job in claim handling, customer service, information technology or an internship, plus other areas. There are videos of agents talking about the rewards of owning their own business, giving back to the community and why they became agents.
Once a person determines what area might appeal to them, they can chat live with recruiters about job positions.
There will be webcasts with agents talking first-hand about their business and recruiters speaking about how to improve one's online presence when job searching. People can ask the presenters questions during a live Q and A session and see what other questions are being asked.
State Farm is looking for agents throughout the U.S. and Canada, particularly in California, Texas, Arizona, Illinois and East Coast states.
Interested candidates can register now for the Feb. 22 virtual job fair. The site and materials will be available for 30 days after Feb. 22.
