StartApp Spearheads Mobile Evolution in Brand Amplification and Engagement
Digital Content Division Delivers Brands to Captive Audiences in Messaging Apps, Social Apps, and Beyond with Mobile-First Vision
NEW YORK, Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- StartApp, an insights-driven mobile technologies company, today announced the recent accomplishments and ongoing work to achieve the vision of its Digital Content division, a solution launched last year to connect brands with new audiences through mobile-first strategies and technologies.
StartApp, a pioneer in how brands understand the characteristics, behavior, and preferences of quality customers, leverages its database of over one billion mobile users to provide the data intelligence brands need to create the most fulfilling mobile moments for their audiences. In September 2016, StartApp launched its Digital Content division and began developing digital experiences like stickers and emojis, with keyboards, launchers, avatars, memes, augmented reality, virtual reality, and more for Mattel™, a global leader in learning, development and play.
"Brands have found it increasingly difficult to remain a part of engaged conversations as the digital landscape continues to fracture," said Gil Dudkiewicz, CEO & co-founder of StartApp. "Twelve months ago we unveiled our Digital Content division and related suite of digital content solutions to help brands navigate the ever-changing mobile landscape that StartApp has been a part of for over six years. We are proud of the successes we have seen in such a short time."
In June, StartApp launched the Barbie™ iMessage app, which immediately rose to the top five in downloads on the messaging service, garnering over 100,000 downloads in just its first month. Iconic Mattel brands like Hot Wheels™, Monster High™, and Thomas & Friends™ were also recently launched on iMessage with plans to expand to other platforms.
In order to amplify brand awareness and diversify distribution, StartApp also signed strategic partnerships with messaging and social apps to enable brands to expand their audience reach across platforms. To that end, Viber, one of the world's leading messaging apps with over 800 million users, debuted Barbie stickers on its platform this summer. Snap Interactive, Inc., a leading provider of live video social networking and interactive dating applications, launched Mattel Licensed Sticker Packs on its apps Paltalk and Camfrog.
"Our Digital Content team has worked tirelessly over the past year to establish new audiences for brands on mobile and open revenue streams across emerging channels," Dudkiewicz continued. "We look forward to continuing to help brands connect organically where today's consumer spends their digital time: in chat apps, in games, on social, in their VR headsets, and so on. When backed with intelligent data insights in mobile user behavior, the opportunities for brands in today's evolving mobile landscape are endless."
In August, to expand upon their goal of delivering high-quality, engaging branded experiences to end users in the mobile environments and communities they love, StartApp acquired technology developed by Kibo, a leader in branded mobile keyboards. Furthermore, StartApp worked with Moji (AppMoji) and Weather Creative Inc on soon-to-be-released branded emoji keyboards and utility applications that mobile end users can share and engage with as part of their day-to-day mobile experiences. Lastly, recent work by StartApp to connect brands to the hyper-engaged mobile gaming audience was showcased in mid-October in a coordinated co-branding event with Atari's hit mobile game RollerCoaster Tycoon™ Touch.
