This is the First Time Matching Plugs Are Available for Inteplast's TUFboard® Deck Collections. PVC Plug Color and Grain Match Perfectly, As Plugs Are Cut from Actual TUFboard®.
LIVINGSTON, N.J., July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TUFboard® and Starborn Industries, Inc. today jointly announced that Starborn's new Pro Plug® System for PVC decking and trim is now available for TUFboard® cellular PVC decking, in all 18 colors and finishes across the Eco, Kinbo, Bellus, and Cierra collections. The Pro Plug® System for PVC features plugs made from the actual TUFboard® cellular PVC deck material, so the colors and grains match perfectly. The matching plugs conceal screws used for deck installation for a smooth, clean finish.
Pro Plug® for TUFboard® combines the high performance and durability of face fastening with the look of hidden fasteners in an easy to use system. It provides a genuine cost-avoidance and work-saving opportunity for contractors and DIYs.
"TUFboard® offers the widest range of PVC decking colors and styles in the marketplace," says Mike Hwang, VP and General Manager of Inteplast Group's World-Pak division, manufacturer of TUFboard®, "so this is an important product to offer our customers for both aesthetic and easy installation purposes."
"The new Pro Plug® System for PVC offers builders new options for installing decks with plugs, like the ability to use stainless star drive fasteners," says Starborn Marketing Manager Steven Gertner. "Now, for the first time, builders have the option of installing TUFboard® decking with plugs made out of TUFboard® material, ensuring a perfect match for grain and color."
The Pro Plug® System packaged for use with TUFboard® is sold as two separate components: (1) PVC Deck/Trim kits containing TUFboard® color-matched plugs and fasteners and (2) the PVC Tool. PVC Deck kits are available in three different pack sizes, which correspond to coverage area and lineal feet of material.
The Pro Plug® System for PVC delivers impressive features including:
- Star drive fasteners in either stainless steel or epoxy-coated steel, offering builders the ability to choose the right screw for a broad range of applications and materials.
- A specially designed PVC Tool that consistently drives fasteners to the correct depth below the board surface and features a No Cam-Out Auto-Stop™ mechanism that prevents the screw recess from stripping.
- A free-spinning stop collar that protects the PVC board surface.
TUFboard® offers a variety of decking choices, ranging from Eco, a value-priced line, to the exotic Kinbo line, which looks like beautiful variegated teak wood. TUFboard® cellular PVC deck is light weight, capped on all four sides with ASA, the most UV-resistant cap available, and is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty and 25-Year Fade and Stain Warranty.
