Star Entertainment Releases Details of Tranzistor Systems' MediaPal eCommerce Platform: Digital Spending to Reach 33% of Overall Spending by 2014
MediaPal Platform Allows for Instant Commerce Capabilities on Any Website
MIAMI and NEW YORK, June 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Star Entertainment Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SETY), a leader in digital distribution today announced the details of its Tranzistor Systems eCommerce division, MediaPal, a software platform that enables content owners of any size to profitably sell content via their Internet site. This platform allows Tranzistor to add to its growing list of offerings, which already include distribution of digital assets in the online space. Tranzistor has established the Music 3.0 Ecosystem which directly links a musician or band to their distribution platform while monetizing and building fan loyalty along the way.
According to PWC during the next five years, the economic recovery will help to support a revival in the non-digital components of the market — but the renewed growth in non-digital spend will be significantly outpaced by digital increases. Overall spending related to digital services and platforms will rise at a rate of 12.1 percent compounded annually during the five-year forecast period, compared with a much slower compound annual growth rate of 2.6 percent for non-digital. This disparity will see digital's share of overall spending reach 33 percent in 2014.
"The Internet and digital media offer artists such a huge canvas for delivering their talent to the masses," said Tranzistor Systems CEO Josh Eikov. "Whether it is music, video or the written word, these artists have the opportunity to entertain their fans as well as find new ones with the ability to monetize their craft from any webpage or blog that they want to across the entire Internet. The major internet retailers do not give the band or fan the type of granular control over what content is sold or how it is purchased as effectively as Tranzistor Systems can."
Tranzistor Systems Inc., which specializes in delivering these digital media, in the form of music/video download and Internet radio, will utilize the MediaPal software platform to help site owners build an ecommerce site on their own space. Additionally, the platform allows artists to build out an ecommerce solution through their social media presence on sites like Facebook and MySpace. Information on MediaPal can be found on www.mediapal.com
Tranzistor Systems had announced its slate of first to broadcast channels and is looking to deploy this music network on top of their new Tranzistor Radio and already established Virtual Radio product in Europe and Asia. Virtual Radio already has a download base of 5,000,000 applications and recently released its iPhone application. The Tranzistor Radio iPhone application is soon to be released- both are available on Android.
Virtual Radio was previously acquired by Tranzistor Systems, Inc. as part of the NINJ GmBH acquisition. NINJ is a pioneer in developing ground breaking mobile technology since 2005. Their VirtualRadio product has established a market leading position in the fast growing segment of Internet based Radio Software and Services for mobile phones.
OTC Markets had recently upgraded the Company to the highest trading Status of Pink Current Information. This new current status in both federal and state filings, together with the acquisition of Tranzistor Systems, Inc and Tranzistor's acquisition of NINJ GmBH. have accelerate the implementation of the Company's new business strategy.
Tranzistor's product and technology has been assessed in excess of $10 million and a number of products and services are under development and synergistic potential joint ventures and acquisitions are under negotiation. Tranzistor has projected annual revenues to reach $87.6 million by 2014 and in excess of $231 million by 2016, as Tranzistor's service set expands internationally.
