Star Career Academy - Newark, NJ Campus Adds Culinary Arts

NEWARK, N.J., Nov. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Star Career Academy which has 8 locations in NY, NJ and PA would like to congratulate its Inaugural Culinary Class in Newark NJ.  Just recently Culinary Arts has been added to the Allied Health offerings at Star in Newark.  The first Professional Culinary Arts class began October 2011.

Star Career Academy Newark would also like to welcome Chef John DeSimone to their campus. Chef DeSimone transferred from the Manhattan campus. He is Chef-Owner of Po Cucina, a private chef service and has spent the last six years as Executive Chef of the Manhattan Steamboat Company, a private yacht charter service. He is currently the program chair for Newark, NJ. We believe he is a great match for this new program and look forward to his expertise in growing the Culinary Arts program in Newark.

Newark occupies approximately 35,000 square feet of space in a downtown urban setting and houses classrooms and clinical laboratories including a simulated operating room, stress testing and electrocardiography machines, and working dialysis machines. Computer laboratories serve the Insurance and Health Information Technology and Medical Assistant programs. Newark Campus currently has approximately 323 students with room for more!
