Staples Canada Donates $10,000 to Fund School in Ecuador
Teacher Appreciation Contest winners to help build school
TORONTO, April 13, 2015 /CNW/ - Staples Canada is making a commitment to education in Ecuador by donating $10,000 to help fund a school through international charity and partner, Free The Children. Staples is also sending five teachers, selected as winners in the Staples Me to We Teacher Appreciation Contest, to Ecuador where they will help build the Staples-funded school.

"There is a large need for new and safe school structures in Ecuador, and we're humbled to help make education more accessible."
The Staples Me to We Teacher Appreciation Contest ran from September 27, 2014 – November 27, 2014 and sought to celebrate teachers who created positive social change in their school or community. The winners are:

- Michael Fuchigami, Ottawa, ON
- Michel Bouthot, Saint Lambert, QC
- Anne-Marie Robinson-Sisk, Ottawa, ON
Winners will depart for Ecuador on August 1 on a nine-day Me to We Volunteer Trip. Participants will work alongside local community members to build a Staples-funded school.
