Stanton Communications Expands Client Portfolio
- Firm Continues Buildout of Consumer Marketing and Public Affairs Practices -
WASHINGTON, Dec. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Stanton Communications, a national public relations firm, today announced continued growth in business activity with a focus on strategic client services. The firm achieved a number of important milestones throughout 2012, including expansion of its public affairs practice and continued buildout of its consumer marketing portfolio.
Public affairs, long a core component of the firm's business, saw sustained growth in the second half of this year. Stanton Communications expanded its public affairs client roster to include the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS). The firm with NAPBS will implement a broad range of external communications initiatives, including strategic planning, media relations, communications counsel, public affairs and crisis management.
NAPBS, founded in 2003, consists of over 600 companies offering tenant, pre-employment and background screening. The association was formed to establish and promote standards in a rapidly growing industry that is critical in today's business environment, allowing employers to meet their legal responsibilities to provide a safe and secure environment for their existing employees and the customers they serve.
Expanding the portfolio further, the firm added the Al Smith Memorial Foundation to its list of clients in October. Stanton Communications was engaged to provide media support and credentialing of their pre-eminent fundraising dinner in New York. This year's Al Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner featured President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney only weeks before the 2012 election.
"We are enormously proud to have these new relationships," said Catherine Imus, Managing Director – Public Affairs. "We look forward to supporting NAPBS and the Smith Foundation as we build understanding of their missions and broaden recognition of their accomplishments."
In addition, Stanton Communications continued to develop its consumer marketing practice. Dig-It! Games, creator of innovative, interactive computer games designed to encourage kids to explore the world around them, engaged Stanton Communications to provide support for the launch if its newest interactive game, Mayan Mysteries, a puzzle-based game that combines the fun of adventure with real information about ancient Maya civilization. As part of the initiative, the firm will engage education trade press, consumer media and bloggers to promote its companion iPad app.
Founded by former archaeologist and middle school teacher Suzi Wilczynski, Dig-It! Games develops animated games that use historically accurate features and activities to engage young players in problem solving and critical thinking. Incorporating authentic archaeology techniques, Mayan Mysteries takes players on an exciting journey through history to uncover the intrigue of the Maya, engaging in activities that test reading comprehension, geographical knowledge, and science and math skills.
"Dig-It! Games is one of the most interesting and educational programs on the market today and we are excited to be a part of shaping the organization's communications platform for the future," said Lori Russo, managing director of Stanton Communications - Baltimore. "We are proud to work with Dig-It! to tell its unique story and gain exposure for its creative approach to educational gaming," Russo concluded.
