Stanson Health Partners with Deaconess to Enable Real-Time Clinical Decision Support and Analytics to Improve Patient Care Delivery, ACO Performance
Health Technology Company Helps CMS Next Generation ACO in Indiana
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Stanson Health, a health technology company supporting medical providers in real time at the point of care, today announced a new partnership with Deaconess, a health system in Indiana, to enable clinical decision support within the Electronic Health Record (EHR). With the Stanson Health platform, Deaconess providers will have access to highly validated, evidence-based recommendations that will help their clinical teams make better treatment decisions for their patients, reduce costs and remain a leader in value based care.
"Deaconess is a CMS Next Generation ACO committed to the delivery of safe, high-quality, compassionate patient care. Our leaders recognized early-on that successful implementation and use of health information technology benefitted our organization but more importantly, the community members who depend on us in times of need and uncertainty," said Chief Medical Information Officer Dr. Diane Hunt. "Our investment in the Stanson Health platform will enable our clinical care teams to receive real-time, evidence-based advice to the benefit of the patient and the cost of care delivery. Stanson's analytics platform will also enable us to think about decision support more broadly – before ordering to evaluate and update our order sets and after ordering to provide physician peer comparison feedback and de-identified comparative data. This technology will help reduce physician burnout and ensure optimal outcomes for our patients."
The Stanson health library of clinical interventions and analytics solutions will be deployed across the Deaconess network in early 2018. These solutions will be used specifically to:
- Reduce inappropriate or potentially harmful care
- Reinforce appropriate care, close care gaps and improve quality
- Boost financial performance
- Reduce clinician alert fatigue
"We are very excited to partner with Deaconess to help significantly improve patient care," said Stanson Health Chief Commercial Operations Officer Ryan Nellis. "Deaconess is an innovative, anchor health care organization in southern Indiana that we're honored to support."
