Stanley Martin Homes Vice-President Michael Cleary Receives Top Honor from HomeAid Northern Virginia
Awarded for Dedication to End Homelessness through Community Renovation Projects
RESTON, Va., Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Earlier this month, at HomeAid Northern Virginia's annual gala, Stanley Martin's Michael "Mike" Cleary was given HomeAid's top honor, the "President's Award," for his unwavering service and continued dedication to the organization and the people they serve. HomeAid Northern Virginia is an association dedicated to improving the lives of people in need, through the renovation and/or construction of homeless shelters and transitional housing. By partnering with area homebuilders and contractors, HomeAid is able to leverage their resources and offset the cost to build and construct these homes, so that Northern Virginia Family Services may focus their financial resources on providing programs for the individuals they serve.
The President's Award is presented to an individual or organization that has shown exceptional dedication to the goal of ending homelessness with service to HomeAid Northern Virginia and "Mike certainly fits the bill," says Stanley Martin's President, Steve Alloy. "He has worked with Stanley Martin's Trade Council, along with many of our Stanley Martin team members, on multiple HomeAid renovation projects. Most recently, Mike led the significant renovation of a transitional home in Prince William County. The team from Northern Virginia Family Services was stunned at the dramatic transformation of an old and rapidly deteriorating home into a beautiful, functional, comfortable space that will better serve the needs of many future residents. I believe that was the third HomeAid project Mike has led during his tenure with Stanley Martin."
Stanley Martin joins HomeAid in recognizing Mike Cleary on this well-deserved honor and is immensely proud to have him as a part of their team. Alloy concludes by saying, "Mike's commitment to serving others, by volunteering his time and expertise is what the HomeAid partnership is all about."
