Under one of the new two-year awards, valued at $7 million, Stanley will develop and maintain a tools and standards repository for the Nationwide Health Information Network to facilitate wider use of the standards and an increased level of interoperability across the nation in health IT. The team will work within the standards lifecycle, streamlining processes and maximizing the re-use of concepts and components through the development of tools that automate process and information flow and the establishment of a repository for stakeholders to access re-usable standards artifacts.
Under the second two-year award, valued at $8 million, Stanley will enhance and manage the testing infrastructure for the Nationwide Health Information Network, including developing an infrastructure of rigorous processes and tools needed to confirm that the candidate implementation system conforms to specifications and can interoperate with other conformant solutions.
"We are proud to offer these additional capabilities to DHHS as we work toward enhancing the operation of the Nationwide Health Information Network," said Howard Ady, Stanley vice president. "Our tool and testing solutions will help provide the security, scalability and efficiency needed to achieve the operational goals."
Under both NITAAC awards, the Nitor Group Ltd., 5AM Solutions, Inc. and Aegis are subcontractors on the Stanley team. Release One joins the team under the award to perform services for the tools and standards repository. The work will take place in Washington, DC.
