St. Pete Pier Demolition Time-Lapse Video Shows September's Major Progress
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Oct. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Local software company Squaremouth has created a time-lapse video capturing the St. Petersburg Pier's demolition during the month of September. Over the past month, crews have torn down the exterior of the building, leaving the Inverted Pyramid Pier a shell of its former self.
This is the first in a series of time-lapse videos Squaremouth will release monthly and following major milestones over the course of the St. Petersburg Pier's evolution from the Inverted Pyramid Pier to Pier Park. Squaremouth is offering the video to media for use with coverage of the pier at no cost, in addition to its live video feed that continues to record the project's progress.
The high-definition cameras capturing the time-lapse footage and live feed are set up at Squaremouth's downtown St. Petersburg headquarters overlooking the pier.
