St. George 'Dixie' Elks to Start Pantry Partners for Success

CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the St. George 'Dixie' Elks will provide material and other support for students at a local alternative high school. They will focus especially on young parents, independent students and those in danger of dropping out. Support will include food, baby items, furniture, and other items as needed.

Pantry Partners for Success will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the St. George 'Dixie' Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, St. George 'Dixie' Elks Lodge No. 1743 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
