INDIANA, Pa., May 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- S&T Bank, a full-service financial institution with assets of $6.5 billion, and locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York, will donate a portion of the thousands of seedlings to be planted during a two-day volunteer event, Plant a Tree at Flight 93, taking place May 13-14, 2016.
The donation is made on behalf of the S&T Bank customers who elected to give up paper statements in support of National Park Week, opting in for Online Loan Statements throughout the month of April. The major reforestation effort, led by the National Park Service, the Friends of Flight 93, and the National Park Foundation, will bring together approximately 500 volunteers, including S&T Bank employees, to plant 22,000 tree seedlings over 32 acres of land surrounding the Flight 93 National Memorial.
"As members of the community surrounding the Flight 93 National Memorial, we're honored to contribute to this meaningful restoration effort," said S&T Bank President and CEO Todd Brice. "S&T Bank extends its gratitude to our customers for their commitment to going paperless in support of cultivating this beautiful, living memorial."
It's never too late to go paperless in name of the environment. For more information and to enroll in Online Loan Statements, please visit www.stbank.com.
