S&T Bank Offers Students Extra Credit this School Year with Lessons about Smart Financial Management

INDIANA, Pa., Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- S&T Bank (NASDAQ: STBA), a full-service financial institution with branch locations in 11 Pennsylvania counties, is helping students earn extra credit this school year by offering financial lessons as part of the American Bankers Association Get Smart About Credit Campaign. As part of the campaign, area teachers are encouraged to schedule a classroom visit with a financial expert from S&T Bank who will offer lessons on how to manage a checking account, how to budget and how to use credit responsibly.

Sponsored by the American Bankers Association, the Get Smart About Credit program is a national campaign of volunteer bankers who help young people develop a stronger understanding of how to use credit responsibly. National Get Smart About Credit Day is recognized annually on the third Thursday in October (October 17, 2013), but S&T Bank works with area schools throughout the school year to offer credit education lessons.
