"Studies indicate that fewer than 50 percent of teens understand how to budget," said Todd D. Brice, president and chief executive officer of S&T Bank. "At S&T Bank, we feel that it's important for teens and young adults to be empowered with smart financial strategies. Decisions they make now about their finances and credit can impact them for years to come."
Sponsored by the American Bankers Association, the Get Smart About Credit program is a national campaign of volunteer bankers who help young people develop a stronger understanding of how to use credit responsibly. National Get Smart About Credit Day is recognized annually on the third Thursday in October (October 18, 2012), but S&T Bank works with area schools throughout the fall to offer credit education lessons.
